Home > Elendur

Elendur is the name of two fictional characters in J. R. R. Tolkien's universe of Middle-earth.

The first Elendur ( S.A. 3299– T.A. 2) was the son of Isildur, who fell beside him at Gladden Fields. Before the disaster, he alone of the sons counselled Isildur to return the One Ring to the Keepers of the Three Rings.

In a marginal note in the Unfinished Tales, Aragorn is stated to have resembled this son of Isildur "in body and mind", even though he was not descended directly from him.
