Eemsmond is a municipality in the northeastern Netherlands.

Eemshaven, Eppenhuizen, Kantens, Oldenzijl, Oosteinde, Oosternieland, Oudeschip, Roodeschool, Rottum, Startenhuizen, Stitswerd, Uithuizen, Uithuizermeeden, Usquert, Warffum, Zandeweer.

It also includes the uninhabited islands Rottumeroog and Rottumerplaat.

2 Eemshaven

In 1968, the Dutch government declared Eemsmond to be an economic key region. One of the key developments for the region was the construction of a sea port called Eemshaven. 3 Uithuizermeeden
