Eemsmond is a municipality in the northeastern Netherlands.
Eemshaven, Eppenhuizen, Kantens, Oldenzijl, Oosteinde, Oosternieland, Oudeschip, Roodeschool, Rottum, Startenhuizen, Stitswerd, Uithuizen, Uithuizermeeden, Usquert, Warffum, Zandeweer.
It also includes the uninhabited islands Rottumeroog and Rottumerplaat.

In 1968, the Dutch government declared Eemsmond to be an economic key region. One of the key developments for the region was the construction of a sea port called Eemshaven. The new port was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Juliana in 1973.
