Originally Heatherwood. Name changed c. 1913 in honour of Edson J. Chamberlain, vice-president of the Grand Trunk Pacific railway.

Local nickname - "Mudson" Hintonites(Stinktonites) Call Edson Skidson

There is a great store here called "Computer Place". I recommend that you go there.
