1 Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 7.9 km² (3.0 mi²). 7.5 km² (2.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.28% water.

Edgewater Park Township borders Burlington Township, Willingboro Township, Delanco Township, Beverly, and the Delaware River.

2 Demographics

As of the census ² of 2000, there are 7,864 people, 3,152 households, and 2,099 families residing in the township. The population density is 1,043.4/km² (2,701.8/mi²). There are 3,301 housing units at an average density of 438.0/km² (1,134.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 68.07% White, 21.40% African American, 0.17% Native American, 3.26% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 3.20% from other racesThe United States Census Bureau uses the federal government's definitions of race when performing a census.
