Edenbridge was formed in 1998 by guitarist/ keyboardist Lanvall ( Arne Stockhammer ), bassist Kurt Bednarsky and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher . The lineup was completed when drummer Roland Navrati joined the band. Edenbridge quickly set to work, and entered the recording studio in 1999, and signing a reord deal with Massacre Records the very same year. The album, named Sunrise in Eden was released in the autumn of 2000.
The band added a second guitarist, Georg Adelmann , to its line-up in February, 2000, but his stay with the band was to be a short one. When he left in January, 2001, he was replaced by Andreas Eiblar . Since then, Edenbridge has released two more albums, Arcana ( 2001) and Aphelion ( 20022002 is a common year starting on Tuesday (see link for calendar). 2002 was the first palindromic year since 1991 and the last until 2112. 2002 was also designated: International Year of Ecotourism and Mountains National Science Year in the United Kingdom), and are currently working on a fourth album, intended to be ready for release sometime in the latter months of 20042004 is a leap year starting on Thursday (the link is to a full 2004 calendar), and has also been designated the: International Year of Rice International Year to Commemorate the Struggle against Slavery and its Abolition Elections are to be held in 73 co.
Founding member Kurt Bednarsky left the band between the release of their second and third album, but a permanent replacement for him has yet to be found.
