Brand, Dionne Brand, Dionne
Dionne Brand is a Canadian poet, novelist, and non-fiction writer who focuses on issues relating to black women. She was born in Trinidad in 1953 and came to Canada to study at the University of Toronto. She is an active fighter for the rights of marginalized communities, especially blacks and women.
