The Dallas Stars are a National Hockey League team based in Dallas, Texas.

Founded: 1967
Formerly Known As: Minnesota North Stars ( 1967- 1993).

In 1978 the Cleveland Barons merged with the North Stars. That team's history is : California Seals ( 1967- 1968), Oakland Seals ( 1967- 1970), California Golden Seals ( 1970- 1976), Cleveland Barons ( 1976- 1978).
