The Council for Secular Humanism is the only exclusively Secular Humanist organization in the USA. The council is based in New York, and

acts as an umbrella organization for a number of other groups such as the Center for Inquiry , the Campus Freethought Alliance, and Secular Organizations for Sobriety. It also publishes several magazines and newsletters, including Free Inquiry . The council was founded and is headed by Dr. Paul Kurtz.
