Cobo Arena is an indoor arena in Detroit, Michigan, adjacent to the Cobo Conference Center. The arena seats 12,191. It was the home of the Detroit Pistons of the NBA from 1961- 1978 and the Michigan Stags of the WHA from 1974- 1975. It was also the site of the infamous incident on January 6, 1994, when a masked man attacked figure skater Nancy Kerrigan with a metal baton. The attacker was later found to be an associate of Jeff Gillooly, the husband of competitor Tonya Harding.
