Chigwell School is an English public school in the county of Essex, south-east England. It was founded by Samuel Harsnett in 1629. Pupils are aged between 7 and 18 years. Selection is by examination and interview. Some pupils choose to board. William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, was educated there.The school motto is aut viam inveniam aut faciam, a Latin phrase which translates as Find a way or make a way.
