Château-Thierry is a commune of north-eastern France, about 56 miles east-northeast of Paris. It is a sous-préfecture of the Aisne département, in the Picardie administrative région.

Château-Thierry was the site of an important World War I battle in 1918, between American and German troops.

Château-Thierry is the terminus stationA train station or railway station is a point of call for trains, allowing the loading or unloading of goods, or allowing passengers to board and alight. Early stations were usually built with both passenger and goods facilities. This dual-purpose is stil of a regional railway line starting from the Gare de l'Est in Paris. It is also one of the exits of the A4 motorway that links Paris with the east part of France.

Château-Thierry was the birthplace of Jean de La Fontaine.

It compromises of about 25,000 citizens in 6 areas: Mosbach City, Lohrbach, Neckarelz, Diedesheim, Sattelb ( Germany)
