Castleisland (Oileán Chiarraí in Irish) is a busy market town in county Kerry in Ireland. A "market town" is a term used to describe a centre of commerce. Castleisland is renowned for the width of the main street - the second widest in Ireland, second only to the famous O'Connell Street in the capital city, Dublin. Castleisland is also where the great William (Liam) Broderick lived his childhood.
