Cardiff City Football Club are a football team based in the Welsh city of Cardiff. Their current ground is Ninian Park, but the club are in the process of planning and construcing a new stadium to be located opposite the old one. They currently play in the Football League Championship and are managed by Lennie Lawrence. The existing Chairman of the club is the well-known Lebanese businessman Sam Hammam.They are one of a handful of Welsh sides to play in the English football pyramid, rather the Welsh football pyramid (which has the League of Wales at the top), and are currently the highest placed of these Welsh sides.
