The patron saint for Camuy is " San José", celebrated on November 4.
Camuy's claim to fame comes from its Parque de las Cavernas del Río Camuy (Camuy River Cave Park), an impressive network of natural subterranean caves and underground riverways. The park built around the cave system features special tours of some of the caves. It is one of the most visited natural attractions in Puerto Rico.
Camuy's population is estimated at 35,200 (2000 census). The municipality is growing more slowly than neighboring Hatillo.
