Brett Lee (born November 8, 1976 in New South Wales) is an Australian cricketer. He is an express bowler. At his fastest he is capable of bowling 160 km/h. However, he normally bowls at speeds of around 150 km/h. He competes with Shoaib Akhtar for the title of 'world's fastest bowler'. His armoury includes an outswinger, a yorker, an off cutter and a slower ball. He pulls off the occassional stunning catch in the field and can also punish one-day international bowlers with the bat (as a strike rate of around 80 suggests). Major accomplishments:
- Took a one-day international hat-trick against Kenya on March 15, 2003 (Kennedy Otieno, Brijal Patel and David Obuya)
- Taking 100 wickets in both test cricket and one-day international cricket
