The Mexican Federal District is divided into 16 boroughs (delegaciones) for local government and administrative purposes:

001 Álvaro Obregón Suburban, mostly up-market
002 Azcapotzalco A bit rough; used to have a refinery
003 Benito Juárez Quintessentially middle-class
004 Coyoacán Bourgeois, but also bohemians and the UNAM
005 Cuajimalpa Western fringes
006 Cuauhtémoc Downtown
007 Gustavo A. Madero Decaying inner city; Virgin of Guadalupe
008 Iztacalco Rough
009 Iztapalapa Rough, most populous borough
010 Magdalena Contreras  Suburban leading to rural
011 Miguel Hidalgo Posh: embassies and Chapultepec park
012 Milpa AltaMilpa Alta is one of the 16 delegaciones (boroughs) into which Mexico's Federal District is divided. In the July 2003 local election, Milpa Alta was the only delegacion to elect a borough mayor from the Institutional Revolutionary Party. External link Off Rural

016 XochimilcoXochimilco is one of the 16 delegaciones (boroughs) into which Mexico's Federal District is divided.
