Bob Mortimer (born May 23, 1959 in Middlesbrough), is a British comedian and actor, best known for his double act with Vic Reeves (see Vic and Bob).

A solicitor prior to his showbiz career, Mortimer began as a sidekick to Reeves, but quickly achieved equal billing. They continue to appear separately as well as together, Mortimer particularly in television and radio advertisements.

Mortimer is perhaps best known, ironically, not for a moment in TV or comedy, but for one isolated piece of legal work - he represented Jarvis Cocker at the police station following the Pulp singer's overblown arrest at the Brit awards in 1997 after he flashed his bottom in protest at Michael Jackson's performance at the ceremony.
