Home > List of Roman Catholic bishops of Krak๓w

Due to Krak๓w's role as Poland's political, cultural and spiritual center, the bishops and archbishops of Krak๓w were often very influential in the city, country and abroad.

The diocese of Krak๓w was erected in 1000 and elevated to an archdiocese on October 28, 1925. From 1443 to 1791 bishops of Krak๓w were simultaneously dukes of Siewierz, although it was only Cardinal Sapieha who officially abandoned the title "duke of Siewierz".
