Bentley does for students interested in business and related professions what the leading technological universities do for students of science and engineering.
Founded by Harry C. Bentley in 1917 as a school of accounting and finance, Bentley offered its first four-year Bachelor of Science program in 1961. In 1968, Bentley moved from downtown Boston to Waltham to accommodate growing enrollment and student demand for education blending academic study and extracurricular opportunities.
In late 1990s, Bentley pioneered integration of information technology into the core business curriculum.
