1 Geography

Belleville is located at 42°51'42" North, 89°32'12" West (42.861714, -89.536631) 1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.4 km˛ (1.3 mi˛). 3.0 km˛ (1.2 mi˛) of it is land and 0.4 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 12.12% water.

2 Demographics

As of the census 2 of 2000, there are 1,908 people, 764 households, and 540 families residing in the village. The population density is 635.1/km˛ (1,648.2/mi˛). There are 788 housing units at an average density of 262.3/km˛ (680.7/mi˛). The racial makeup of the village is 98.32% White, 0.21% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.68% from two or more races. 0.79% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
