Bellechasse was a Canadian federal electoral district from 1867 until the 1997 Canadian election when it became Bellechasse—Etchemins—Montgovery—L'Islet . After redistribution prior to the 2004 Canadian election it became Lévis—Bellechasse .

Bellechasse was held by the Liberal Party of Canada from the 1917 Canadian election until the 1958 Canadian election when it elected a Progressive Conservative in the Diefenbaker sweep. It went Social Credit in 1962, Liberal in 1965 and then was won by Adrien Lambert of the Raillement Creditiste in the 1968 Canadian election. Lambert held the riding until his defeat to the Liberals in the 1980 Canadian election.
