Beethoven's Last Night is a concept album by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It was released in 2000.
Late one night in spring 1827 (presumably March 26, the night he died) Ludwig von Beethoven has completed his masterpiece - his tenth symphonyBeethoven's Symphony No. 10 is a hypothetical work, assembled from fragmentary sketches left by Beethoven, by Barry Cooper. Beethoven never completed a Symphony No. 10; indeed, he may never have started one. After completing the Ninth Symphony, he devoted (which in reality, was never completed).
Just as he finishes it, MephistophelesMephistopheles (also Mephisto Mephistophilus Mephist and Mephistophilis as referred to in the original text) is a name given to one of the chief demons of Christian mythology that figure in European literary traditions. The name is frequently used as an a arrives to claim his soul. He offers Beethoven a deal. Mephistopheles offers Beethoven his soul, but in return all of Beethoven's work will be wiped from the memory of man.
