Baltimore ( Irish: Dún na Séad) is a small town in western County Cork, Ireland. The name means "white house" in Irish. Ferries sail from Baltimore to Schull, Sherkin Island and Clear Island. It was sacked in 1631 by Algerian pirates. It is believed that Napoleon obtained his famous white mare from Baltimore.
