The M62B46 was a 4.6 L (4619 cc) version producing 347 hp and 480 ft.lbf
Applications:
The high-performance S62 was made for the E39 M5. It is a 5.0 L (4941 cc) V8. Bore is increased to 94 mm and stroke to 89 mm. Each cylinder has its own throttle body with separate actuators for each cylinder bank. It is also BMW's first Double VANOS V8 engine, with variable timing on both intake and exhaust.
M62
