Australidelphia is the magnorder that contains roughly three-quarters of all marsupials, including all those native to Australasia and a single species from South America. (All other American marsupials are members of the Ameridelphia.) The orders within this group are listed below:

Order DiprotodontiaVombatiformes Phalangerida Diprotodontia is a large taxon of about 120 marsupial mammals including the kangaroos, wallabies, possums, Koala, wombats, and many others. Extinct members include the giant Diprotodon family, and Thylacoleo, the so-called "mars (117 species)
