The Atlantic Theatre Festival is a professional theatre company located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Theatre Festival presents live theatre during the summer in Wolfville's Festival Theatre , the former town hockey rink, which was converted into a theatre for the Atlantic Theatre Festival Founder's Season in the summer of 1995.

In recent years the Atlantic Theatre Festival has been forced to reduce budgets, cut salaries of employees and cancel productions as a result of ongoing financial problems. Acadia University owns the Festival Theatre and leases it to the Atlantic Theatre Festival, and this arrangement has been threatened by the Atlantic Theatre Festival's continuing lack of financial resources.
