Astro is a satellite based multi-channel subscription TV service in Malaysia.
1 Introduction
Astro provides direct-to-home satellite television services for subscribers in Malaysia and Brunei. Malaysian businessman Ananda Krishnan owns Astro.
Astro's parent company, Astro All Asia Networks plc is listed on Bursa Malaysia in October 2003. Major shareholders of the Group include the Usaha Tegas Group (42.7%) and Khazanah Nasional Berhad (21.6%), the investment arm of the Malaysian Government.
