Asphodelaceae are a family of flowering plants. The Asphodelaceae are monocots, part of order Asparagales. The family is native to Africa and the Mediterranean basin to Central Asia, with one genus ( Bulbinella ) in New Zealand. The greatest diversity occurs in South Africa.
