In the fictional Star Trek universe, the Articles of Federation is constitution the United Federation of Planets. The Articles of Federation were signed and ratifed on the planet Babel by the Humans/Terrans, Vulcan, Andorian, and Tellarites governments in the year 2161. This document has many similarities to the UN charter. The Articles have never been mentioned in any Star Trek series but is found in the Star Trek Technical Manual by Franz Joseph.
