Arathorn became the Chieftain of the Dúnedain in T.A. 2930, when his father was captured by Hill-Trolls. He ruled for only 3 years until 2933, when he was killed while hunting Orcs. He was followed by his infant son Aragorn II, also known as Elessar Telcontar.
