In Incan mythology, Inti was the sun god and the god of rainbows, as well the patron deity of the Incan Empire and father of the first Incan emperor, Manco Capac I, as well as Mama Oello, Kon and Pachacamac by his wife, Mama Quilla. He was a son of Viracocha and Mama Cocha.

Inti was represented as a golden disc with a human face. He was also known as Apu Punchau, which means "head of the day". The ruling Inca was considered to be the living representative of Inti.
