Andrew Lam is a Vietnamese American born in 1964, in South Vietnam. His father is General Lam Thi Quang (Lâm Quang Thi) of of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam.

In April 1975, he left Vietnam during the Fall of Saigon with his family.

He attend UC Berkeley and then decided to be a writer.

He has written many stories factual stories about the United States envolement in Vietnam.

He currently the editor of the Pacific News Service and a journalist and short story writer.
