In Goidelic mythology, Amergin was a bard and judge. The three goddesses who ruled the Tuatha de Danaan ( Banba, Ériu and Fodla) allowed him and his people, the Milesians, to settle in Ireland if he would name three island after the sisters, which he did. He was a son of Miled.See also Taliesin.
