W. R. Allen Road, known more commonly as Allen Road or simply The Allen, is a short freeway in Toronto, Ontario, which runs from slightly north of Sheppard Avenue to Eglinton Avenue in the south. Allen Road is the only built portion of the controversial Spadina Expressway, which was designed to link Highway 401 to the downtown core. Public opposition forced the Ontario provincial government to halt construction of the expressway. Allen Road is named after late Metro Toronto Chairman William R. Allen.
A portion of Yonge-University-Spadina Line runs in the median of the highway.
