Alistair Ian Cragg is an runner from South Africa. He moved to Ireland in 2003 and competed for Ireland at the 2004 Summer Olympic in Athens. Going there as an unknown talent, nobody knew what to expect of him. He proved himself however by getting through the semi-final of the 5,000m to book a place in the Olympic Final - something few Irish athletes managed at the 2004 games. In the finals he ran a 13:43.06 - 20sec slower than his semi-final run - but still enough to place 12th overall.
