Alien 5 is the rumoured to be the next installment in the famous 'Alien' series, started by Ridley Scotts 'Alien' in 1979. Although only a rumor at this point ( 23.11.04 ), Sigourney Weaver, when asked about the film, has said she would be open to starring in anther Alien movie . The proposed script for Alien 5 has been said to be very violent .

The prospective blurb for Alien 5 : "Ripley' journeys to the Alien planet for a final showdown with her many-toothed, acid-bleeding foes. The fifth installment in the venerable series.

Ridley Scott tells 'Latino Review':

"I will decide in the next 5 weeks, I'm looking at ALIEN 5 sure. Why not? Maybe. There hasn't been a good Pirate Movie either, so I haven't decided yet. It's in the works."

From Dark Horizons:

"Ridley Scott dropped the following quote at a press conference in Sydney this morning – 'You know, I thought it'd be nice. I'd do it. It really is entirely dependent on the take on the material. It's all about material. I been asked about Alien 5 and I said 'of course.' We've started a script meeting. I mean, I've started it off so i may as well close the door – if in fact this is meant to be the last one.'"
