In Judaism, the Messiah (משיח "Anointed one", Standard Hebrew Mašíaḥ, Tiberian Hebrew Māšîªḥ) is a human descendant of King David, who will rebuild the nation of Israel and restore the Davidic Kingdom; thus bringing world peace.
