Abell 1835 is a galaxy cluster in the Abell catalogue . It is a cluster that also lenses more distant background galaxies to make them visible to astronomers.

One of the galaxies gravitationally lensed by this cluster is the current most distant galaxy known ( 2004), Galaxy Abell 1835 IR1916.
