The 2007 Rugby Union World Cup will be the sixth world cup in rugby history, hosted by France in the autumn of 2007. The eight quarter-finalists from the 2003 Rugby Union World Cup ( Australia, England (2003 champions), France, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales) all received automatic entry, with the other teams selected from a qualifying series around the world.
