- September 11 - Thomas GrahamThomas Graham ( December 20, 1805 September 16, 1869) was born in Glasgow, Scotland and educated at Glasgow University. He was a chemist and formulated " Graham's law" on the diffusion of gases. He has also been called the father of colloid chemistry.
